The burnt face

Acid attack is one of the most dishumane activities done against women. I don’t get it that how can a man satisfy his ego by pouring that corrosive thing over someone leaving the person physically ablazed, mentally baffled, socially left out and emotionally shattered. But in spite of everything SHE rises again.

The one who threw acid on that girl, ain’t you the same guy?

Hey! You did a really courageous thing, don’t feel shy.

I hope you remember the girl who was that day dressed in pink

But there’s some other aspect about which you didn’t think.

So, let me tell you, you didn’t put that acid just on her face,

That acid was poured on her dignity, respect and her grace.

She didn’t accept your proposal, was that her fault?

Mister! Wait for a sec, think again, just take a halt.

Tell me, to teach her a lesson who gave you the power?

Where did you get that right from, Who do you think you are?

Her skin came peeling off and with that shed down her confidence too,

People who called her beautiful now were just a few.

Her once and beautiful skin lost its charm.

And yes, did I tell not just her face you also burnt her arm.

Once she used to look in the mirror every time she passed by,

But now even the thought of looking at herself made her cry.

People shun to look at her or even have a fleeting glance,

Will you like to have one if you meet her by chance?

You changed her life, its no more the same,

The society thinks its all her fault, over her they put all the blame.

And her parents are worried, who will marry her now?

Boy, you tried your best to let her down yet somehow

Despite off all the condemnations and ugly comments she got,

Just like every other problem, this one too she bravely fought.

Not just a pretty face but also she had a golden heart,

She decided to live her life once again, to give it a fresh start.

Who want d her to be inside, she proved all those people wrong,

You cant even imagine her courage, you don’t know how much she is strong.

And she will fly again. A song of bravery she will sing

For you or for every other person who in any way wants to tie her wings!!!
